Chemical Safety & Regulatory Compliance
To safeguard people and the environment, we require our suppliers to conform to the latest Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). This approach ensures that hazardous chemicals are identified, controlled, and eliminated wherever possible.
We are fully ECHA and UK REACH compliant, reflecting our commitment to meeting both European and UK regulatory requirements for chemical management.
Oeko‑Tex® Certification
We have held Oeko‑Tex® certification since December 1994, demonstrating long‑standing commitment to textile safety.
Our Oeko‑Tex® certification assures customers that the fabrics we supply are free from harmful substances and safe for their intended use. Customers who wish to highlight this assurance to specialist retailers can request Oeko‑Tex® publicity materials to support their own marketing activities.

TTEL has been a bluesign® system partner since 2014.
The bluesign® system creates safer and more sustainable environments for people to work in and for everyone to live in. It traces each textile’s journey throughout the manufacturing process, driving continuous improvements at every stage — from the factory floor to the finished product. bluesign® certification provides the highest level of assurance to consumers and confirms that our products are manufactured using responsible resource management, with the lowest possible impact on both people and the environment.
Quality & Environmental Management Systems
We have held ISO 9001:2015 certification since 2013, the world’s most widely recognised Quality Management System standard.
This certification covers the design and manufacture of textiles for apparel, furnishing, and industrial markets using polyester, nylon, and speciality fibres.
ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management
We have maintained ISO 14001:2015 certification since 1999, demonstrating a long‑term commitment to environmental management.

Toray Textiles Europe Ltd is certified to the Global Recycling Standard (GRS), a globally recognised framework that verifies the authenticity of recycled materials at every stage — from waste collection through manufacturing to the final product.
GRS is an international, voluntary standard designed to increase the use of recycled materials. In addition to chain‑of‑custody verification, it includes criteria covering:

- Social responsibility
- Chemical restrictions
This certification supports transparency, traceability, and confidence in recycled textile products.
